I’m Angela Osei-Bonsu, a British artist of Ghanaian descent, creating vibrant artwork inspired by African heritage. Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and my style blends abstract art with elements of surrealism, realism, and cubism – forming a visual language that is uniquely my own.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, I draw deeply from my Ashanti heritage, producing work that is both colourful and meaningful. My art often features bold outlines, rich colours, and intricate geometric patterns inspired by traditional Ashanti kente cloths. Through playful explorations of space and form, I invite viewers to experience the world from a new perspective.

My portfolio includes drawings, paintings, collages, art prints, sculpture, and mixed media. Over the years, I’ve worked on projects such as the London Skyline mural with Brook House Primary School, featuring six iconic landmarks. My work has also gained recognition in competitions with brands like Fiat and New Era.

I’ve exhibited at The Royal Free Hospital in North London and contributed to community projects, including a mosaic mural at Malorees Junior School. Passionate about the connection between art and wellbeing, I partnered with Br3akfree to design a sensory room for a special needs centre – an experience that reflects my belief in the transformative power of art.

Today, alongside my studio work, I also create handcrafted Ghanaian jewellery and original artwork tote bags, combining cultural heritage with functional design. Each creation is a piece of storytelling, crafted to inspire and connect.
